The 2023 edition builds on over a decade of sustained efforts, with a wide range of achievements and impacts already secured. A new three-year programme will build evidence of effective hepatitis C treatments and increase the uptake and scale up of community-led programmes to reduce Hepatitis C infections in three countries.

The United Nations General Assembly will hold the second high-level meeting on the fight against tuberculosis on 22 September 2023.

The theme of the meeting is: “Advancing science, finance and innovation, and their benefits, to urgently end the global tuberculosis epidemic, in particular, by ensuring equitable access to prevention, testing, treatment and care.”
