The Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association “MENAHRA” is organizing a Grant Management Training workshop for a number of CSOs coming from several countries of the region. The workshop is taking place in PADOVA Hotel from 24-26 June 2013.
The meeting was attended by 13 professionals from different countries in the region: Egypt, Afghanistan, Tunisia, and Lebanon aiming to know more about how to manage grants.
MENAHRA’s Executive Director Mr. Elie Aaraj Initiated the opening of the workshop by introducing Menahra and speaking about the harm reduction situation in the region and the importance of its strategies from the perspective of public health, human rights and the role of the CSOs and policy makers including Religious Leaders in the success of these strategies and their contribution in support of drug users to get their rights.
Following Mr. Aaraj speech, an exercise on the participants expectations was done, followed by presentations on the core of the workshop by MENAHRA’s team, thus the legal, financial, M&E and programmatic topics related to the Grant program were introduced to the participants, and the day ended with an evaluation filled by them.
